Business Development

This role is required to identify and develop new clients in the global markets for the F&A
Portfolio. Managing all Sales activities which include establishing new and maintaining existing
relationships at all levels. The role would thus be responsible and accountable for the following
areas:

  1. SALES & MARKETING
  • Responsible for hunting new accounts, building pipeline, book revenues from Global markets
    (predominantly US, Canada, UK and Europe – regions will be specified by recruiter).
  • Formulate & implement short & long term Sales & Marketing strategies for Datamatics’ F&A
    Services.
  • Participate in strategic sales and marketing planning and trade planning by analyzing
    business, service, competitors and market situations.
  • Responsible for carrying out the prospect mapping, pipeline mapping, proposals in line with
    customer requirement, preparation of reports, cost analysis, negotiations and closure of deal.
  • Attend meetings regularly to understand client’s requirement & provide best solutions.
  • Interact and maintain relationships with existing clients to enable cross-selling and up-selling
    activities.
  • Perform SWOT analysis and recommend appropriate strategic decisions to Top management.
  • Plan, Organize, Implement and Control all marketing functions such as new service launch
    plan, set up pricing according to price structure, develop and implement promotional activity.
  1. RELATIONSHIP BUILDING ACTIVITIES
  • Must be able to network and develop market intelligence for generating leads for achieving
    Sales targets.
  • Responsible for building & developing strong contacts within the sector, and continuously
    fosters and strengthen the existing relationship for incremental sales.
  1. CRITICAL COMPETENCIES:
  • At least 10+ years of overall experience with majority of them in sales / account management
    in BPO or IT Outsourcing Industry.
  • Independently manage a revenue target of USD 1 to 2 Million.
  • Must have travelled across geographies for accruing new accounts in the BPO / IT
    Outsourcing Industry
  • Pipeline Management – Builds a pipeline with reasonable timelines and is able to continually
    manage it and follow through with individual prospects, delivering successful sales.

  • Deal Management – Closes deals as per pipeline and forecast sales as per agreed time
    commitments. Able to measure success against competition and where forecast deals are
    unsuccessful, is able to understand and gain market information as to why a deal is lost.
  1. REQUIREMENTS
  • IT skills must include above average ability to work on Excel Spreadsheets, MS Word. And
    through knowledge of MS Power Point.
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and sometimes unambiguous conditions. Creative,

  • In order to be successful in this role, the Incumbent must be a self-motivated, confident,
    enthusiastic and able to work independently with minimal supervision, be able to train and

    same time can keep confidences.
    This role will also include selling Specialized Services for CPA/CA Firms like:
  1. Tax Outsourcing Services
  2. Book Keeping Services (which includes Invoice (purchase / sales) recording, Assets ledger,
    Expense accounting, Credit control, Debtors / creditors ledger scrutiny, Bank reconciliation,
    Sales invoicing, Query resolution, VAT / sales returns processing, Customized MIS reporting,
    Financial statement preparation)
  3. Payroll Services (which include Setting up companies and employees in the system,
    Generating pay slips, Payroll processing and reconciliations, Human resources reporting, Time
    and attendance systems maintenance, Production of BACS payments, tax and NI, Month and
    year-end reporting, Tax year end processing)
  4. Year End Statutory Accounting Services (which includes General ledger maintenance and
    scrutiny, Recording of adjustment and closing journals, Work paper, referencing and checklist
    compilation, Accounting standards and statutory disclosures, Financial and cash flow
    statement finalization, Balance sheet, P&L statement preparation)
